Vietnam's State Bank raised its USD/VND reference rate by VND15 to VND23,069 after the rate jumped in early May. Commercial banks' rates rose 80-90 dong per dollar from May 6, to about 150 dong above the stable range maintained earlier this year.
HSBC Vietnam attributed the move to both domestic and external causes.
