Chicken and egg consumption in Nepal has fallen by up to 25% after bird flu was detected on farms in several districts. Daily chicken consumption fell from about 510 tonnes to nearly 400 tonnes, and broiler prices dropped.
This is a small regional demand drop with negligible effect on global poultry or feed prices. It has little bearing on feed buyer price levels.
