A Congressional Research Service report on agricultural trade issues for the 116th Congress says U.S. farm exports totaled $143 billion in FY2018 and that Canada, China, Mexico, the EU and Turkey imposed retaliatory tariffs on more than 800 U.S. farm and food products. It notes USDA authorized $12 billion in short-term aid to affected farmers.
The report is background on trade-policy risk to export demand. It flags no new tariff or purchase, so it does not by itself move grain or oilseed prices.
