European wheat prices on Euronext pared early gains on June 27 as Chicago markets fell and weak export demand for French wheat weighed. Front-month September milling wheat was down 0.3% at 182.25 euros a tonne after a three-week high earlier in the week, as traders judged the heatwave likely too late to cause major damage.
Traders see limited crop damage from the heat, so the price reaction is muted and weak export demand keeps the near-term bias soft for EU wheat.
