The Canadian Grain Commission reports canola exports of 8.9 million tonnes to mid-July, about one million fewer than a year earlier. Deliveries to the handling system were down 780,000 tonnes.
Chinese imports from Canada were 560,000 tonnes lower through May.
Weaker export flows to China and elsewhere leave more canola domestically, pressuring cash canola prices and expanding the record carryover.
