Perdue AgriBusiness acquired the assets of Hart AgStrong, including two organic and non-GMO oilseed expeller crushing plants in Georgia and Kentucky, closing August 5. The facilities produce specialty oils and meal for organic and non-GMO feed operations in the southeastern U.S.
The acquisition adds specialty oilseed crushing capacity, a niche development with limited impact on mainstream soybean meal or oil prices.
