Glanbia set its 2019 base price for green feed barley at €128/t, 33% below last year's €193/t, with top-up bonuses lifting it to €141/t. Other Irish merchants in surplus regions indicated bases around €130/t, and Dairygold has paid €130/t on account.
Lower Irish barley prices reflect a surplus and weak European grain markets, which reduces domestic feed barley costs for Irish livestock buyers.
