Cash corn averaged $3.55 a bushel in the US for the week, and FOB ethanol plant DDGS prices were unchanged at $137.50 per metric ton. DDGS were priced at 98 percent of corn, up from the prior week and below the three-year average of 106 percent, while soymeal reached $323 per metric ton.
DDGS priced at a discount to corn and soymeal make it a relatively cheap protein and energy option for feed buyers, and expected US supply tightening this fall could firm FOB NOLA offers.
