Gold was little changed ahead of the Fed decision as crude prices fell. Saudi Arabia said full oil production would be restored by month's end after an attack halved its output.
Expected restoration of Saudi supply reduces the inflation and supply risk premium in crude, which lowers energy costs for feed production and transport. Lower oil also reduces the safe-haven and inflation hedge demand for gold.
