DTN retail data show the average UAN32 price fell 10% from the prior month to $572/ton, and UAN28 also dropped 10% to $483/ton. All eight major fertilizer prices tracked by DTN were lower than a month earlier, and the downtrend has run since late December 2022.
Retail nitrogen prices are easing from the 2022 peak as supply loosens, which lowers farmers' input costs for feed grain production. The move is a continuation of an established trend rather than a new shock.
