The GDT Price Index fell 2.8% at the first auction of January 2023, with an average selling price of $3,365 per tonne. Volumes rose about 16.5% to 33,478 tonnes, and the previous auction had dropped 3.8%.
Lower GDT prices and firmer volumes point to soft global dairy demand and pressure on export returns. The move is a routine auction result with limited direct effect on feed prices.
