ABP's by-product division Advanced Proteins has acquired John Pointon and Sons' animal by-products business in Staffordshire, a site with 400,000 tonnes of capacity that renders fats, proteins and biomass fuels. ABP says operations will continue as usual.
The deal is an ownership change within UK rendering, with no clear effect on feed ingredient supply or prices.
