Saudi Arabia's first 2020 feed barley tender booked about 900,000 tonnes for late March and April delivery at an average of US$224.45/t c&f, roughly 4% above the previous tender. Nine of 19 bidding companies were selected, and suppliers from Australia, the Black Sea, the EU, South America and the US were eligible.
Large Saudi import demand supports international barley export prices, and the higher tender price signals firmer global feed barley values.
