Grains closed weaker on February 23 after late-session selling, with May SRW wheat down 6 1/2 cents to $5.73 3/4 and May corn up only 1/2 cent. May soybeans fell 3 1/2 cents while soybean oil hit a contract high.
Cattle futures fell, with April live cattle down $2.75 to $239.25.
Late-session profit-taking reflects routine price action rather than a new supply factor. Weaker dollar and firmer crude provided limited support for grains, which feed buyers can view as market noise.
