China has approved imports of all US poultry and poultry products, lifting a ban in place since 2015 over avian influenza. Live bird imports are also allowed again as part of the phase one trade deal, which benefits US breeding companies such as Aviagen and Cobb-Vantress.
Reopened access for US poultry and live breeding stock supports US export demand and can lift US chicken prices, though the effect on feed grains is limited.
