China's Ministry of Agriculture confirmed an H5N6 bird flu case on a Sichuan poultry farm, with 1,840 of 2,497 birds infected and over 2,260 culled. It is the first H5N6 detection on a poultry farm after four cases in swans this year.
A single farm outbreak is small in scale, so its direct impact on feed and poultry prices is minor, though it adds to wider Asian disease concerns.
