Russian customs data show January 2020 potash fertilizer exports outside Russia rose 112.8% year on year to 114.2 thousand tons. Nitrogen fertilizer exports were roughly flat, down 0.2%, and mixed fertilizer exports rose 4.4%.
Potash sales value grew 106.5% in the same month.
Higher Russian potash export volumes add supply to the world market, which is mildly bearish for potash prices. The January figures are a small base, so the impact on global supply is limited.
