Peru's new fishing quota is reported to be no more than 1.5 million mt of catch, which could yield about 350,000 mt of fishmeal. About 150,000 mt is already contracted, and a Peruvian quarantine runs until May 10.
A new 15,000 mt fishmeal contract with China was also reported.
Limited uncommitted fishmeal supply for the market, combined with the quota cap, points to firmer fishmeal prices.
