Uralkali Trading has signed a potash supply contract with Indian Potash Ltd for deliveries through the end of 2020. The price is set at $230/t CFR.
Uralkali said the price reflects current market conditions, unlike the Chinese contract it considered suboptimal.
The India deal confirms that potash contract prices are settling in the low $200s per tonne, which weighs on global potash benchmarks. Buyers should expect soft potash pricing through 2020.
