Feedstuffs and Glowlit report weekly feed additive pricing, this week covering Lysine HCL, Vitamin B5 Calpan and Vitamin K3 MSB. Chinese L-Lysine is priced at $1.4/kg, down 15% from its February peak, while regulatory actions in Europe and Indonesia target Chinese suppliers.
Calpan has returned to pre-COVID levels of $48.4/kg, and Vitamin K3 MSB spiked 63% in February to about $16.2/kg.
Anti-dumping measures and import bans on Chinese lysine could tighten non-China supply and support prices for feed-grade amino acids used in swine and poultry rations. Vitamin price moves add to feed cost pressure for formulators.
