MSC announced a General Rate Increase effective June 15, 2020 for export cargo from the USA and Puerto Rico to the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Red Sea. The increase applies to all shipments from US ports to those destinations.
Higher container rates on US export lanes to South Asia and the Middle East add cost to containerized ag exports, though bulk grain freight is largely separate.
