Ukrainian sea ports shipped 883 thousand tonnes of grain in the week of May 9-15, down 17% week on week. Corn shipments fell 41% to 438 thousand tonnes, while wheat rose 42% to 413 thousand tonnes.
Turkey, China and Indonesia were the top importers.
A sharp drop in Black Sea corn exports leaves more supply in Ukraine and tightens the export pipeline, which is mildly bearish for corn export prices. The effect is limited because the weekly swing is small against the season's total volumes.
After 683 past bearish trade events, Corn moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (47% higher; middle half -1.7% to +1.6%), and +0.3% over 20.
