The EIA reported the national average retail diesel price rose 0.7 cents to $2.403 per gallon for the week of June 15. It is 66.7 cents lower than a year earlier.
Prices rose in most EIA regions, with California the most expensive at $3.218 and the Gulf Coast the cheapest at $2.174.
Diesel is still rising only marginally from pandemic lows, so trucking fuel costs remain subdued for grain and feed movements.
