Live cattle futures closed mixed on Wednesday, with August down 60 cents and other contracts up 7 to 50 cents. Cash sales were $403 dressed and $255 live, and the CME Feeder Cattle Index fell 41 cents to $376.99.
Choice boxed beef dropped $1.90 to $391.26.
Mixed futures and softer boxed beef show a stable-to-weaker cattle market with no major new driver, leaving feeder cattle demand for feed roughly unchanged.
