Belarusian Potash Company confirmed that industrial action by workers at Belaruskali has forced adjustments to its August potash sales plan. It gave no details, and the protests against the disputed presidential election are continuing across the country.
Belaruskali supplies about 20% of world potash, so a lengthy disruption would tighten supply of MOP to importers such as India and China and support potash prices.
