Ukrainian equipment maker OLIS commissioned an oat processing plant in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, for the company Mibeko. The plant has a capacity of 60 tonnes per day and was installed remotely during COVID-19 travel restrictions.
It can also process buckwheat, wheat, barley and rye into flakes.
This is a small processing investment for human-food oat flakes with negligible effect on feed grain supply, demand or prices.
After 13 past logistics events, Oats moved a median -1.9% over 5 sessions (23% higher; middle half -5.2% to -0.6%), and +1.5% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
