Belarus cut its potash fertilizer export volume by 0.8% year on year in January-August 2020, to 4.508 million tonnes of 100% nutrient content. Export value fell 23.3% to $1.578 billion, and the average price dropped 22.7% to $350 per tonne.
The report attributes the decline to weak global potash prices since mid-2019.
Lower Belarusian export prices reflect ample global potash supply and weak demand, which keeps potash input costs soft for fertilizer buyers and feed-linked crop production.
