Mexico imported 12.23 million tonnes of corn in January to September 2020, up 3.6% year on year, according to consultancy GCMA. U.S. yellow corn accounted for 10.79 million tonnes, up 5.3%, and GCMA expects full-year imports of 17.2 million tonnes.
Rising Mexican import volumes support U.S. corn export demand and prices. The increase is modest and mostly in line with existing expectations.
