China's customs data show lysine exports in October 2020 reached 67,000 tons, up 36.4% year-on-year and 6.7% month-on-month. Methionine imports in October fell 13% month-on-month and 31% year-on-year to 19,800 tons.
Strong Chinese lysine export volumes point to firm overseas demand for amino acids used in feed, while lower methionine imports signal softer Chinese demand for that feed additive.
