Agritel reports sunflower oil prices for the 2020 harvest have risen more than 50% since mid-summer, trading around 1100 USD/t FOB Odesa. Sunflower seed in Ukraine has also climbed to over 650 USD/t ex-works, and sunflower meal is up 40% since July.
Higher palm oil prices are pulling sunflower oil up with them, and tight Black Sea supplies keep crushers bidding for seed. Oilseed meal buyers should expect firm sunflower meal prices.
