IFFO's January-September 2020 analysis shows marine ingredient output in line with the previous five-year average. Cumulative fishmeal production is down about 2.5% year on year, with fish oil production also down about 2.5%, mainly due to Peru, the US and India.
China, the main market for marine ingredients, is a focus of the report.
Slightly lower fishmeal and fish oil output keeps supply limited, which supports prices for feed buyers, though overall supply is stable.
