Evonik will close its smallest MetAMINO DL-methionine plant, a 65,000 tonne per year site in Wesseling, Germany, by end of Q1 2021. It will invest about 25 million euros to upgrade its Wesseling methionine intermediates plant to supply its Antwerp site.
The company is clustering production at Americas, Europe and Asia hubs.
