The cash spread between Waha in West Texas and Henry Hub narrowed to its tightest level since May, averaging 19 cents in December. Permian gas output fell to about 10.2 Bcf/d, while growing supply in the broader US market pressured Henry Hub.
The narrowing spread reflects regional supply shifts rather than a broad change in US gas balances, so the direct impact on feed input costs is limited.
