Global vegetable oil prices fell as improving weather in South America supported soybean planting and Brazil's soybean crop forecast was raised by 0.5 million tonnes. Palm oil and soybean oil futures in Dalian, Malaysia and Chicago declined, and Ukrainian sunflower purchase prices were cut by 200-300 UAH/t.
Better South American weather and softer vegetable oil prices point to lower oilseed input costs, with the Ukrainian hryvnia strengthening adding to the decline in local sunflower prices.
