Canada exported 1.13 million tonnes of canola seed in October, the highest monthly volume in six months and up 65% from October 2019, according to Oil World. Exports to China rose to 301,000 tonnes from 169,000 tonnes a year earlier.
Canola meal exports also increased to 500,000 tonnes.
Stronger Canadian export pace, including renewed flows to China, tightens exportable supply and supports canola seed and meal prices, though the gain is partly offset by diversion to other markets.
