Pakistan's Ministry of Industries and Production met with fertiliser producers and said it was satisfied with the current urea supply and demand situation. Officials cited 250,000 tonnes of opening inventory and expected 2021 output of six million tonnes, against annual demand of the same amount.
RLNG-based plants are expected to restart from April or earlier.
Adequate domestic urea stocks and planned restarts point to a well-supplied Pakistani market, which limits upward pressure on urea prices. Kharif demand of three million tonnes is the main seasonal draw to watch.
After 26 past neutral policy events, Urea moved a median -1.0% over 5 sessions (27% higher; middle half -4.1% to +0.6%), and -2.5% over 20.
