ADISSEO and ENGIE Solutions are working on the CASHEMIR project to supply green hydrogen for methionine production at ADISSEO's Roches-de-Condrieu site in France. ENGIE would build a 2,000 metric ton per year electrolysis unit, and the project could launch in 2022.
This is a long-term cost and carbon initiative with no near-term effect on supply, so it has little immediate impact on methionine prices.
