PhytoGen, the cottonseed brand of Corteva Agriscience, released its first varieties with resistance to reniform nematodes. The PHY 332 W3FE and PHY 443 W3FE varieties also carry root-knot nematode and bacterial blight resistance.
Nematode resistance can protect yields on pest-affected farms, but the effect on cotton supply and feed byproduct prices is marginal.
