The Vietnam Fertilizer Association said local DAP output of about 810,000 tonnes a year covers roughly 80% of national demand, rebutting rumours of a shortage. Imported DAP prices have risen to VND15-16 million a tonne from about VND9-10 million for local product.
Reassurance on domestic supply may limit speculative buying, but the sharp import price increase shows that world DAP costs are high and feed-sector fertiliser inputs remain expensive.
