Russian feed additive prices are moving unevenly, according to Feedlot. Methionine rose 15% from mid-March to mid-April 2021 but is still 12% below a year earlier, at €3.5 per kg.
Threonine rose 6.2% month on month to €1.68, though it is down 0.9% year on year.
Methionine is the feed amino acid with the clearest price move here, so buyers of ruminant and monogastric rations should expect higher costs for that ingredient. The threonine gain is smaller and is still close to year-ago levels.
