Chicken wing prices are rising as poultry processors struggle to staff plants fully, and inflation is spreading across all parts of the bird. Wingstop reported a 25.8% rise in bone-in wing prices in its first quarter, below a market-rate increase of 50%, as it negotiated with suppliers.
Labor shortages at processing plants reduce broiler output while demand for wings stays strong, supporting chicken prices. Feed-cost inflation adds further upward pressure on the chicken complex.
