U.S. DDGS prices rose $7/MT in the week to April 29, with export offers sharply higher for May-July shipment. Corn and soymeal markets strengthened and rail rates rose.
The DDGS/cash corn ratio fell to 0.87, below its three-year average of 1.10.
Stronger corn and soymeal values are lifting DDGS as a feed substitute, and rising freight costs add to export prices. Buyers should expect firmer DDGS and feed-grain costs into the summer.
