Jordan's state grains buyer issued a new international tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of animal feed barley, split into 60,000-tonne consignments for shipment from October to November. The deadline for price offers is May 19.
The tender follows a previous one on Wednesday that drew only one trading house and resulted in no purchase.
Jordan is a regular importer of feed barley, so a firm purchase would support export demand for Black Sea and EU barley. The failed prior tender suggests demand is limited, so the price effect is likely small.
