USD/JPY eased in early Asian trade on Tuesday after touching a multi-month high near 110.30 on Friday, and traded near 109.54. The dollar index stood near 89.80 as US 10-year yields remained below 1.60%.
Analysts also pointed to OECD forecasts that cut Japan's 2021 growth outlook.
Lower US yields and a softer dollar are a mild positive for dollar-priced commodities. The yen's weakness after the OECD cut is a small offset for yen-based feed importers.
After 359 past neutral macro events, US Dollar (Broad) moved a median -0.0% over 5 sessions (49% higher; middle half -0.4% to +0.4%), and -0.1% over 20.
