Euronext-Matif wheat closed slightly higher at €218 per tonne on Friday but was €7 below its May 14 peak. Cold and dry weather cut about 500,000 tonnes from France's wheat yield, while Germany and Romania look good.
Sovecon raised its Russian wheat forecast to 81.7 million tonnes.
A higher Russian crop estimate and a larger EU harvest outlook add pressure on wheat prices, though French weather losses and strong demand limit the downside.
