Ukrainian sunflower purchase prices are falling as low demand for sunflower oil and large carry-in stocks persist. Sunflower oil supply prices for Q3 and Q4 delivery dropped to $1,100-1,120 per tonne FOB.
Ukrainian sunflower stocks on June 1 were 1.395 million tonnes, down from 2.275 million a year earlier.
Heavy oil and seed inventories ahead of the new crop keep pressure on sunflower oil prices, although the lower stocks year on year limit the downside.
