China's Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimates cut its 2020/21 soybean import forecast by 1.84 million tonnes to 98.6 million tonnes. Crush demand was lowered by 3 million tonnes to 95 million, and soymeal use in feed fell as pig breeder profits declined.
Importers also postponed purchases in hopes that new-crop prices would drop.
A lower Chinese import and crush outlook reduces global demand for soybeans and soymeal, which is bearish for feed protein prices.
