The Port of Milwaukee and DeLong Company broke ground on a nearly $35 million agricultural export terminal at Jones Island on October 13. It will handle DDGS and other commodities by truck, rail and vessel.
It is the largest one-time investment in the port since the 1950s.
The terminal adds Great Lakes export capacity for DDGS, which could support Midwest ethanol co-product prices over time. Near-term price impact is minimal.
