Evonik announced a net price increase of up to 15% on GuanAMINO (guanidinoacetic acid) globally, effective immediately. The company had earlier in September announced a global net price increase of up to 8% on MetAMINO (DL-Methionine 99% feed grade), and said existing contracts would be honored.
Higher prices for methionine and guanidinoacetic acid raise the cost of amino acid supplements in poultry and swine rations. Feed buyers will face higher formulation costs for these additives.
