The U.S. Grains Council and the Texas Department of Agriculture visited Spain to meet grain importers and compound feed producers about sorghum and DDGS. Spain produces about 36 million metric tons of compound feed a year and is a historically significant buyer of U.S. sorghum.
The mission aimed to secure purchases for the coming year.
Export promotion aimed at Spanish buyers supports future U.S. sorghum and DDGS demand. Any firm orders would help absorb a larger U.S. crop.
